About Rural Iowa Landfill Rural Iowa Landfill serves Hardin County, Butler County, and Grundy County (the Cities of Beaman, Conrad, Wellsburg, and Holland). If you live in this area, you are assigned to dump at this landfill.

We are a not-for-profit organization established in 1995.

Any decisions are made by the Director of the landfill and a panel of four appointed Board Members. Bob Greenlee, Jody Anderson, John Zimmerman, and Ed Bear are the most current Board Members.


Hours:

Both the Rural Iowa Waste Management Association and the Hardin County Waste Management are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3 PM. The landfill is Open every last Saturday of the month from 9 AM to 11 AM. Both the Rural Iowa Waste Management Association and the Hardin County Waste Management are closed for the following Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
